SPIE WHS is a leading independent Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation and Industrial Contractor with an annual turnover in excess of £50m per annum. We provide premier mechanical, electrical and instrumentation engineering services for public and private sector clients in industrial markets. Our activities include Project Management, Design, Procurement, Supply, Installation, Testing, Hazardous Area Inspections, Commissioning and Maintenance.
SPIE WHS has approx 325 directly employed staff and tradesmen who work from our offices in Derby, Manchester, Scunthorpe, Sheffield and Thornaby. Our people, the majority of whom are long serving, take great pride in the quality of our work and this underpins everything that we do.
We strive to provide our customers with the highest quality service possible which is reflected by the level of repeat business we enjoy and is testimony to our non-adversarial approach.
Our history goes back to 1906 when Electrical Installations was founded. Electrical Installations merged with WH Smith Ltd to become EI.WHS. We recently became part of the SPIE Group, growing the companies' presence within the UK. In September 2009, WHS joined the SPIE Group and a sister company to SPIE Matthew Hall.
