Silken Hotel

The project originally went to plans to City of Westminster in August 2004 under the proposals of “Demolition and Redevelopment of existing office buildings behind retained facades to former Marconi house The Strand”, with the intention of providing a building 13 storeys high for use as Hotel, Restaurant and self contained apartments.
The Client and Construction team is a respected developer from Spain trading under the name of Urvasco UST London.
Following demolition, construction actually started late 2006 with the Electrical contract being awarded to EI.WHS London early 2007.
The original concept has remained the same albeit the number of apartments and Hotel Rooms has changed to suit demand together with functioning rooms and more bars and restaurants being added.
The new £10M Electrical installation consist of:

• Lighting systems
• Emergency Lighting system

• Access Control
• Public Address System
• Fire Alarm system
• Disabled Person System
• Apartment Intercom System

• Traffic Control System
